ABOUT ME

Dr. Kamal`s research interest is in the area of proteomics and metabolomic using mass spectrometry. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Bangladesh, and his Ph.D. degree in 2011 from the Chungbuk National University, South Korea. His Ph.D. research focused on the understanding of chloroplast, systematic analysis, and stress physiology of wheat, using proteomic techniques. After that, he joined as a post-doctoral researcher at the Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology, South Korea. Where he studied on adipocyte proteins during the differentiation of brown preadipocytes using proteomics approaches. He moved to Japan as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Institute of Crop Science (NICS), Tsukuba, Japan under Japan Society of Promotion Science Fellowship to research on flooding-responsive-proteins encoding genes in soybean using mass spectrometry-based proteomics. Later, he joined as Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Texas at Arlington, Texas.

His expertise is in quantitative proteomics, PTM profiling, affinity-based proteomics, and quantitative metabolomics using LC-MS/MS, and further validating the candidate proteins with diverse molecular biology techniques.
